Olinda D. (Pimentel) Da Costa

Dartmouth–Olinda D. (Pimentel) daCosta age 95 years, died Wednesday April 13, 2011 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. Olinda was the wife of the late Antone G. Silvia and the late John daCosta. Mrs. daCosta was the mother of Antone G Silvia Jr. of Monrovia, MD., Priscilla M. Loiselle of Riverside, R.I., and the late Cynthia Cabral. She was the step mother of Ronnie daCosta of New Bedford, MA., and Thomas daCosta of Dartmouth, MA. Olinda was the sister of Alfred Pimentel of Dartmouth, MA., and the late John Pimentel, Mary DeMello, Evangeline Pimentel and Isabelle Pimentel. Mrs. daCosta is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. daCosta was a daughter of the late Evangeline (Duarte) and John Pimentel Olinda was born in Dartmouth, and has lived in this area all of her life. She was employed as a seamstress at local clothing mills until her retirement.

Mrs. daCosta’s funeral will be Saturday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:45 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church Dartmouth at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 5 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited
