Rose (Francis) Souza

Fairhaven –Rose (Francis) Souza formerly of Capitol St. New Bedford died January 20, 2004 at Alden Court Nursing Facility. She was the widow of Antone Souza. She was the mother of Lorraine F. Fleurent-Grant of North Dartmouth, and Edward A. Souza of Palm Beach Gardens, FL., and Kenneth J. Souza of New Bedford. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild. She was the Grandmother of the late Leonard G. “Butch” Fleurent Jr. She was the sister of the late Mary Steinmitz, Manuel Francis, Antone Francis, Lillian Sylvia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Souza was the daughter of the late Michael and Virginia (Nunes) Francis. She was a stitcher at several local dress manufactures. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Union.

The funeral services will be Friday January 23, 2004 at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 11 am. Visiting hours will be Thursday January 22, 2004 from 7-9 P.M.. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery. For Condolence Book and Directions go to www.perryfuneral.com
