James R. Cunha Jr.

New Bedford – James R. Cunha Jr., age 75 years, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at St Lukes Hospital. Mr. Cunha was the brother of Vivian R. Cunha of New Bedford and father of David Cunha of Maine and Cathy Petiprin of Michigan, grandfather of Matthew Cunha and Logan Petiprin.

Mr. Cunha was the son of the late Alice (Pina) and James R. Cunha. He was born in New Bedford and has lived in this area all his life. Mr. Cunha was employed as a Laborer at Dartmouth Finishing.

Mr. Cunha’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Thursday at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours are from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. before Church Service. Relatives and friends are invited.
