John. B. "Neen" Britto

New Bedford - John B. "Neen" Britto, 82, of New Bedford, died Thursday, January 8, 2004 at home surrounded by his family. He was the brother of Pauline Miranda of New Bedford. Mr. Britto was also the brother of the late Evaristo and Phillip Britto and uncle of the late Benjamin Miranda.

Mr. Britto was born in New Bedford, the son of the late Antonio and Cecelia (Ramos) Britto. Mr Britto was a World War II Army Veteran who served with the 366th Infantry. Mr.Britto was a member of the Cape Verdean Veterans, the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 7 and a former member of the American Legion Post 1.

The funeral will be Monday January 12, 2004 from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 A.M. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours are Sunday January 11th from 5 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
