Filomena B. Lima

New Bedford-Filomena B. Lima age 86 died February 12, 2011 at Sacred Heart Home peacefully. She was the beloved wife of the late Joao B. Lima. Filomena was the loved mother of Steven Raposo of Freetown and Lucia Silva of New Bedford. Filomena was the sister of the late Maria B. Carvalho. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lima was the daughter of the late Manuel B. and Alexandrina (Raposo) Farias. She was born in Fall River and lived in this are since 1966. She was a presser with Elco Dress Company.

Mrs. Lima’s Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Tuesday at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5-8 P.M.
