Louise (Cambra) Silva

Fairhaven – Louise (Cambra) Silva, age 85 years, died Monday, January 31, 2011 at Alden Court Nursing Care & Rehabilitation Center. Louise was the beloved wife of the late Joseph O. Silva of New Bedford. She was the mother of Mark J. Silva of New Bedford and sister of the late Dorothy Souza and Francis Cambra. Mrs. Silva is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Silva was a daughter of the late Frank and Emelia (Barros) Cambra. Louise was born in New Bedford and has lived in this area all of her life. She was employed as a retail sales clerk at Mars Department Store.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Alden Court Nursing Care & Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care given to Louise.

Mrs. Silva’s funeral will be Friday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 - 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
