Angelina Souza

New Bedford –Angelina (Amaro) Souza age 89 years, died Friday, January 28, 2011 at New Bedford Health Care Center, peacefully surrounded by her family. Angelina was the mother of Mary Lou Couto of Dartmouth, Joseph Souza of New Bedford, Maria F. Soares of Dartmouth, John C. Souza of Plymouth and Mary L. Clay of Dartmouth. Mrs. Souza was the sister of Germana Amaro of New Bedford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs Souza was the daughter of the late Diamantina and Manuel Medeiros Amaro. Angelina was born in St. Michael, Azores. and has lived in this area since 1960. She was employed as a Stitcher at Mickey Madan until her retirement.

Mrs Souza’s funeral will be Monday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:45 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church Dartmouth at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday from 6 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited
