Maria Dos Anjos (Tavares) Cabral

New Bedford, MA. – Maria dos Anjos (Tavares) Cabral, age 94 years, died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jose Moniz Cabral. Maria was the mother of Jose M. Cabral Jr., Donaldo C. Cabral, Paulo J. Cabral, Armindo G. Cabral all of New Bedford, and Eduardo M. Cabral of Dartmouth, and the late Lucas T. Cabral, Jaime L. Soares and Amelia Vieira. Mrs. Cabral was the sister of Manuel I. Correia of St. Michael, Azores and the late Idalina Tavares. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cabral was the daughter of the late Maria (Costa) Missao and Jose I. Correia Tavares. She was born in Salga, St. Michael, Azores, and has lived in this area since 1966.
Mrs. Cabral’s funeral will be Monday at 8 A.M. at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday from 5 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
