Walter Jerome

New Bedford - Walter Jerome of New Bedford, 77, died Thursday January 1, 2004 at St. Lukes Hospital. He is survived by two stepsons , Henry Hodgkins of Seguin, Texas, and Curtiss D. Hodgkins of Dartmouth, a niece Joyce Heck, a nephew Paul Jeronymo, and four stepgrandchildren Steven, Kirsten, Karyn and Corey Hodgkins. He was the brother of the late Manuel and Alfred Jeronymo and Carlos Viveiros.

He was born in Dartmouth, and lived in this area most of his life, also having lived in Florida for 18 years. He was the son of the late Manuel and Mary C. (Raposa) Jeronymo. Mr. Jerome was a member of the New Bedford Country Club, the Hawthorne Country Club and the West Palm Beach Country Club

Visiting hours are Sunday January 4th from 1 to 4 PM at the funeral home. Relative and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Alzheimer's Association, 1 Kendall Square, Bldg. 600, Cambridge, MA. 02139
