Jeanne M. (Belanger) Santos

New Bedford - Jeanne M. (Belanger) Santos, age 93 years, died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Santos. Mrs. Santos was the mother of Jannine Fortier of Exeter, RI and the late Janet Hammond, wife of Peter Hammond of Dartmouth. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Santos was the sister of the late Maurice, Roland, Gerard and Normand Belanger and Claire Coons, Theresa Olival and Beatrice Donahue. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Santos was a daughter of the late Alfred Belanger and Valeda (Picard) Belanger. She worked as a housekeeper at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Mrs. Santos funeral services will be at the Chapel at Our Lady’s Haven, 71 Center St. Fairhaven Thursday at 9:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to meet directly at the chapel. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are thru the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Visiting hours have been omitted.
