Paul D. Faria

Boston-Paul D. Faria died December 30, 2003. At Massachusetts General Hospital. He was the husband ofCarol A. (Ross) Faria. He was the father of Kirk D. and his wife Joyce Faria of South Dartmouth, Michael Gifford and his wife Emily of Allenstown, N.H., Matthew C. Faria of South Dartmouth, and Melissa A. Faria of South Dartmouth. He was theloved grandfather of Kirk Matthew, Kyle, Kevin, Joshua, and Nicholas. He also was the brother of David and his wifeNancy Faria of South Dartmouth, Elaine A. and her husband David Desrosiers of South Dartmouth. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Marjorie Ross of South Dartmouth, several nieces and nephews, and many many friends.

Mr. Faria was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Gonsalves) Faria. He was a heavy equipment operator for theTown of Dartmouth. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Mr. Faria was also a member of Dartmouth Conservation Commission, American Legion Post #1, Retired State, County, and Municipal Employees, A.A.R.P.,Massachusetts National Guard, Historical Society, Auxiliary Police Officer for the Town of Dartmouth. He was an avidoutdoorsman, loved sending time with his family, and he willbe missed by all. He was proud to have served his country.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday January 5, 2004 at St. Mary's Church Dartmouth St. South Dartmouth,at 10 A.M. His visiting hours will be Sunday January 4, 2004, from the hours of 4-8 P.M., his burial will follow his funeral Mass, to Beech Grove Cemetery on Drift Rd. Westport, MA.
