ANGELINA ANDRADE

New Bedford - Angelina (Fernandes) Andrade 84 of New Bedford passed away on Jan. 8, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Edmund L. Andrade.

Born in New Bedford the daughter of the late Henrique J. Fernandes and the late Elvira (Fernandes) Monteiro. She was the stepdaughter of the late John F. Monteiro

She was employed as a stitcher in the clothing industry and later as a teacher’s aid for the New Bedford School Department.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

She is survived by two sons David A. Andrade and his wife Toni Lee Andrade of Fairhaven and Edmund Andrade and his wife Beverly Andrade of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Three brothers Napoleao F. Monteiro from So. Carolina, Francisco J. Monteiro from Provincetown Ma; and John F. Monteiro from Detroit Mi. She also leaves seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grand children. She was the sister of the late Hilda (Fernandes) Dudley and the grandmother of the late Edmund Andrade 3rd. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and her dear and close friend Pat DeBarros. All loved Angelina dearly.
Mrs. Andrade’s funeral will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial at St. John Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
