Evelyn T. Valadas

Dartmouth – Evelyn T. Valadas, age 87, died Friday, December 17th, at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She was the beloved wife of Joseph P. Valadas of Dartmouth, formerly of New Bedford. She was the loved mother of Ann Goulart and her husband David of New Bedford, Cynthia Valadas of St. Simon, GA. and her husband Paul Donnelly, and Susan Lafosse of GA. Evelyn was the sister of Joseph Oliver of FL. Donald Oliver and Mary McDonald both of New Bedford. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Valadas was the daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia (Sylvia) Oliver. Evelyn was a hand press at local dress shops until her retirement. She was a member of I.L.G.W.U. International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

Mrs. Valadas’ funeral will be Tuesday at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St at 10 A.M. Services will be at 11 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 5-8 P.M.
