Lucia (Beco) Branco

New Bedford-Lucia Branco age 89 years died Tuesday November 23rd at Bedford Village Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Joao Branco. Lucia was the loved mother of John A. Branco and his wife Maria Helena of New Bedford. Luis A. Branco and his wife Dora of New Bedford. She was the loving grandmother of Melissa, Robyn, Raquel and Monica Branco. Lucia was the sister–in-law of Antonio and Barbara Branco of CA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Branco was the daughter of the late Maria (Luiza) and Jose Beco. Lucia was born in Bombarral Portugal and has lived in this area since 1963. She was a floor person with various textile mills until her retirement.

Mrs. Branco’s Funeral will be Saturday at 9 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St., with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday evening 5-8 P.M.
