Thomas Mcgowen

New Bedford- Thomas McGowen age 80 years died November 11th at St. Luke’s Hospital after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Theresa (Medeiros) McGowen. He was the loving father of Lori Ann Nery and her husband Kevin of New Bedford. Tom was the beloved grandfather of Jillian Nery of New Bedford. Tom was the brother of John McGowen of New Bedford and Lillian of Florida and the late Donald and Robert McGowen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. McGowen was the son of the late John J. and Arline E. (Walsh) McGowen. He was born in New Bedford and was a life long resident. He was a computer Technician in the Garment Industry until his retirement. Tom was an avid golfer, and he loved playing the piano. Tom was a U.S. Naval Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

In accordance with his wishes he was cremated, and his Funeral was Private
