John Mello

New Bedford - John Mello, 80, of New Bedford, died Wednesday December 10, 2003 at home. Mr Mello is survived by his sister Dorothy E. and her husband Manuel Santos, two nieces Janet Brown of Ft. Laudedale, Florida and Sharon Field of California , an uncle, several cousins and great nieces and great nephews. Mr. Mello was also the brother of the late Merciana Medeiros.

Mr. Mello was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of his life. He was the son of the late Joaquim and Mary S. (Sylvia) Mello. He worked at NBIS, Fleet and at City Hall as a teller. Mr. Mello was a WWII Army & Air Force Veteran.

His funeral was private at the request of the family.
