Joseph Reis

New Bedford - Joseph Reis, 76, of S. Dartmouth, died Wednesday December 10, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Sally ( Lima) Reis . He is survived by his wife, 3 sons, David Reis of New Bedford, Kenneth and his wife Joyce Reis of S. Dartmouth and Ronald Reis of S. Dartmouth, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters Mary Chace of New Bedford, Margaret Costa of California and Marianna Mello of S. Carolina and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Reis was also the brother of the late Gilbert and Louis Reis.

Mr.Reis was born in Dartmouth and lived in this area all of his life. He was the son of the late Manuel and Mary L. (Mendonca) Reis. He worked at Bristol Community College as head custodian. Mr. Reis was a WWII Army Veteran.

The funeral will be Monday from Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, Padanaram, located on Dartmouth St. in S. Dartmouth. Burial will be in South Dartmouth Cemetery, South Dartmouth, Ma. Visiting hours are Sunday December 14th from 4 - 8:00 P.M at the funeral home.
