Jorgina (Caetano) Porto

New Bedford - Jorgina (Caetano) Porto, age 81 years, died Saturday November 6, 2010 at home with family at her side. She was the wife of the late Manuel Porto. Mrs. Porto was the loving mother of Maria Borges and Joseph Porto both of New Bedford. She is also survived by a granddaughter Kayla Porto and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Porto had several siblings that have predeceased her.

Mrs. Porto was a daughter of the late Brasilina (Vieira) and Manuel Caetano. She was born in St. Michael, Azores and has lived in this area since 1966.

Mrs. Porto’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Tuesday at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be Monday evening from 6 – 8 P.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.
