Ida Abreu

Ida (Goulart) Abreu-in New Bedford, died Tuesday December 9, 2003 at St.Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of John Abreu. She is survived by two sons Warren L. Abreu of New Bedford, and Bruce A. and his wife Viola Abreu of Westport. A brotherEdwin Goulart of New Bedford. Three sister-in-laws Mary Costa, Inez Goulart, and Augusta Correia, and several nieces, and nephews.

Ida Abrea was the daughter of the late Fernando L. and Maria (Ferreira) Goulart. Mrs. Abreu was retired Janitress at the New Bedford Free Public Library. She was also a Shop Steward. She was a member of the New Bedford Portuguese American Civic League. MA.Senior Action. A.F.S.C.M.E. Local # 851 Retirees, South End Golden Agers. She also held Various titles in the organizations.

Ida Abreu Services will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Friday December 12, 2003, at 10:30 am. Her visiting hours will be 5-8 pm on Thursday December 11, 2003.
