Florencia Ana (Teixeira) Dasilva

New Bedford - Florencia Ana (Teixeira) DaSilva, age 60 years, died unexpectedly, Friday, October 22, 2010 at home. Mrs. DaSilva was the wife of Francisco DaSilva of New Bedford. She was the mother of Luis DaSilva, husband of Carleen, Frank P. DaSilva and Fernando DaSilva all of New Bedford. She was the twin sister of Filomena DaSilva of New Bedford and sister of Regina Aguiar and Emanuel DaSilva both of Brazil. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. DaSilva was a daughter of the late Emanuel Marques DaSilva and Virginia Luiza (Teixeira) DaSilva. She was born in Pico, Azores and lived in this area since 1970. Mrs. DaSilva was a member of the Irmandade Do Divino Espirito Santo Do Pico.

Mrs. DaSilva’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., on Wednesday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 6 –9 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
