Filomena (Brum) Goulart

New Bedford - Filomena (Brum) Goulart, age 89, died Saturday October 16, 2010 at home. Filomena was the wife of the late Joseph D. Goulart who died August 24, 1998. Mrs. Goulart was the mother of Connie Medeiros wife of Joe of New Bedford. Mrs. Goulart was the grandmother of Lisa, Paul, Gina and Peter and great grandmother of Ryan, Kyle, Abigail, Nolan Sophia, Noah, Mia and Olivia. She is also survived by her sister Jean Goulart of Vancouver, Canada as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Goulart was a daughter of the late Maria and Manuel Brum. She was born Faial, Azores and lived in this area for 30 years. She was employed as an operator at Korua Hats in Fall River. Mrs. Goulart loved having her grandchildren over her house.

Mrs. Goulart’s funeral will be at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Tuesday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 5 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
