Jane Ann Pimental

New Bedford – Jane Ann Pimental, age 63, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at The Oaks Nursing Home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the loved wife of Arthur Pimental of New Bedford, loved mother of Arthur Pimental Jr. and his wife Lisa of Fall River, and Jannie Medeiros and her husband Dennis of Dartmouth, sister of Katherine Sylvia of Fairhaven and her twin Joan Dugan of S. Dartmouth. Jane was the grandmother of Dennis Medeiros Jr., Michael Medeiros, McKenna Pimental, and Olivia Pimental. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pimental was a daughter of the late Hilda (Aguiar) and Antone Machado; she was born in New Bedford and has lived most her life in Dartmouth. She worked as a hairdresser at The Hair Center for 30 years. We would like to thank the entire staff at the Oaks Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care that they extended to her.

Mrs. Pimental’s Mass of Christian Burial with her ashes present will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church Padanaram on Monday at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the Church. Burial of her Cremains will follow the Mass, at South Dartmouth Cemetery. “PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS” Arrangements are by Perry Funeral Home.
