Laura (Lopes) Tavares

New Bedford- Laura(Lopes)Tavares age 89 died Tuesday September 28, 2010 at New Bedford Health Care Center. Laura was the wife of the late Manuel Tavares. She was the mother of the late Patricia Magan. She is survived 2 grandchildren William Magan and his wife Colleen and Mother Alexandra, 2 great grandchildren Samantha and Maxwell. She is also survived by a niece Josephine Reese.

Mrs. Tavares was the daughter of the late Maria(Augusta)and Joaquim Lopes. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. Laura was an employed as a Tire Classifier at Goodyear Tire and Rubber, also was a member of P.A.C.L of Dartmouth, Goodyear Senior Citizens, Retired Rubber Workers Union.
