William Correia

Marion - William Correia of New Bedford, died Tuesday November 25, 2003 at Sippican Healthcare, in Marion, MA. He was the husband of Jacqueline (Joaquin) Correia, the father of William P. Correia of New Bedford, David A. Correia of Fall River and Cheryl L. Correia of Wareham, grandfather of Kelsey and Jordan Torres, Heather and Ashley Correia and great-grandfather of Hallie Boutin and grandfather of Tim Martins, and a brother of Joseph Correia of New York, N.Y. Mr Correia was also the brother of the late Lucy Gillingham and Alice Garganta.

Mr.Correia was born in New Bedford,MA. He was the son of the late Joseph and Maria (Faria) Correia. He lived in this area all his life. Mr. Correia was the Vice President of the Revere Copper and Brass UAW Local 168 and Served as President of Revere Copper and Brass Retirees. During the Korean Conflict Mr. Correia served as a corporal in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Correia‘s funeral will be Saturday November 29, 2003 from Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. with services begining at 10:00 A.M.. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. Calling hours are Friday November 28th from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
