Kjell A. Eskeland

New Bedford, MA. - Kjell A. Eskeland age 72 years died Friday August 20, 2010 after a brief illness at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Joan (Rogers) Eskeland. Kjell was the father of Joan S. MacDonald of New Bedford. Mr. Eskeland was the grandfather of Joan H. wife of John L. Jorge Sr., Crystal M. Mac Donald and Amanda S. Cathcart all of New Bedford. He was the great-grandfather of John Jr., Hunter, Noah, Sharaiah, Hannah, Dylan, Maryah, Alyssa, and Shawn.

Mr. Eskeland was the son of the late Hanna (Ruinistakt) Anskar Eskeland. Kjell was born in Fogan Norway., and has lived in this area since the late1959’s. He was a Captain at his own boat for 31 years.

Mr. Eskeland’s funeral will be Friday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Services will begin at 11:00 A.M.. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-9 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
