John C. Dealmeida

New Bedford – John C. DeAlmeida, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. He was the loved father of Arthur Almeida and his wife Tammy of Florida and Carol Ann Almeida life partner of John M. Duarte of New Bedford . John was the brother of Dolores Camara, wife of Ralph of S. Dartmouth, Virginia Farias of New Bedford, Carlos Almeida, husband of Gloria of Fairhaven and Tiberio Almeida of S. Dartmouth. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. DeAlmeida was a son of the late Antone and Maria (Correia) Almeida. He was born in St. Michael, Acores, Portugal and lived in the New Bedford area most of his life.. He was formerly employed by the Continental Screw as a machinist until his retirement.

Mr. DeAlmeida’s Funeral will be Friday at Rural Cemetery at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the cemetery’s main gate for 9:45 A.M. Arrangements are thru the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., New Bedford, MA.
