Augustine Joseph Arruda

Marion - Augustine Joseph Arruda of Dartmouth died Sunday November 16th at Sippican Healthcare Center. He was the husband of Mildred (Jacintho) Arruda. He is survived by his daughter Brenda Dougal of New Bedford, son Robert Arruda of New Bedford, son Brad Arruda of Marion, daughter Suzanne Alverez of New Bedford, and Anthony Arruda of New Bedford. Dartmouth, A sister Mary Lewis of South Dartmouth. He was the brother of the late Manuel Arruda.

Mr. Arruda was born in Dartmouth, the son of the late Augusto and Candida (Silva) Arruda. He was the Step-son of the late Mary (Coelho) Rezendes. He lived in this area all of his life. Mr. Arruda was a member of the Fish Lumper’s Union # 1749, and the Moose Lodge.

The funeral services will be Wednesday November 19, 2003 at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. during visiting hours 6-9 P.M., Rev. Chavier will be officiating the service. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated. His ashes will being interred at the convenience of the Family.
