Margaret F. (Avila) Cabral

New Bedford- Margaret F. Cabral age 90 years, died Monday July12th 2010 peacefully at New Bedford Health Care Center She was the wife of the late Joaquim R. Cabral. She was the loved mother of Richard R. Cabral and his wife Tina of South Dartmouth. Margaret was the loving grandmother of Margaret Prendergast, Michael and Steven Cabral, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John, Frank, Charles and Joseph Freitas and Mary Tsambolas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cabral was the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Amelia C. (Avila) Freitas. She was born in Lowell, MA. and has lived in this area most of her life. Margaret was a stitcher with M&S Dress Factory until her retirement. She was a member of the Tripp Tower Seniors and the Hazelwood Seniors.

Mrs. Cabral’s Funeral will be from Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Friday at 9:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John the Baptist Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M.
