Norman R. Fareas

New Bedford- Norman R. Fareas aged 73 years died Wednesday March 24th at St. Luke’s Hospital with his loved one present. Norman was the beloved husband of Shirley (Cabral) Fareas of Sacred Heart Home New Bedford. He was loved father of Russell and his wife Sharon Fareas of Fairhaven, Kenneth and his wife Tina Fareas of New Bedford, Mark Faraes and Kathleen Fareas both of Fairhaven. Norman was the brother of Harold Fareas of Dartmouth. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fareas was the son of the late Antone and Mary (Thomas) Fareas. He was born in Acushnet and was a lifelong resident. Norman was a Bus Driver with the Southeastern Regional Transit Authority until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was a member of Goal Gun--Gun Owners Action League. Fin, Fur and Feather Club and a former member of the Westport Hogs.

In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated. A celebration of his life will take place at the latter date to be announced.
