Ana M. Correia

New Bedford-Ana M Correia age 71 years died March 21 at home after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Horacio Correia of New Bedford; loved mother of Anna Lapa and her husband Paul of New Bedford, grandmother of Mathew and Justin, sister of Gloriana Botelho, Olga DaSilva both of New Bedford and Otilia Rocha and Jose Francisco both of Brazil and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Cecelia and Anabelle Correia.

Mrs. Correia was the daughter of the late Maria Ana (Furtado) and Jose Inacio Curvilo. Mrs. Correia was born in São Miguel, Açores and has lived in this area for 36 Yrs. She worked as a stitcher for Madeira Twin Fashions .

Mrs. Correia’s Funeral will be Thursday at 8 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St., with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
