Lillian (Costa) Silva

New Bedford-Lillian Silva age 86 years died March 20th unexpectedly at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Silva; loved mother of Richard A. Silva and his wife Ann of Dartmouth. She was the loved grandmother of Jodie Silva of Chicago, IL. Lillian was the sister of Gil Costa of New Bedford, Eugene Costa of Fairhaven, John Costa of New Bedford and the late Joseph Costa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Silva was the daughter of the late Alice (Pimental) and Joseph Costa. Lillian was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a hairdresser at Lil’s Beauty Salon until her retirement. Lillian was a very dedicated member of the Mount Carmel Seniors.

Mrs. Silva’s Funeral will be Wednesday at 8 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5-8 P.M.
