Jose M. Dos Santos

Boston - Jose M. dos Santos age 51 years died March 19th at Beth Israel. Jose was the husband of Maria Fatima (Matias) dos Santos. He was the step father of Joe Matias of New Bedford, Gloria Santos of New Bedford, Lucy Matias of Acushnet, Tony Matias of New Bedford, Maria Furtado of S. Dartmouth, Manny Matias of New Bedford and Joanna Matias of New Bedford. He was the brother of Carlos, Pablo, Rosa and Fernanda dos Santos. Mr. dos Santos is also survived by 16 step-grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. dos Santos was a son of the late Diamantina and Manuel dos Santos. Jose was born in São Miguel, Açores and has lived in this area since 1994. He was a fisherman.

Mr. dos Santos’s Funeral will be Tuesday at 8 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St., with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 6- 9 P.M.
