Mary S. (Silveira) Rebello Roderigues

Dartmouth-Mary S. (Silveira) Rebello Roderigues age 94 years passed away February 28th at the Dartmouth home of her son and daughter-in-law, Alfred and Beverly Rebello where she received home care. She was also the loved mother of Thomas S. Rebello and his wife Cheryl of Westport. Mary was the sister of the late Frank Silveira. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Roderigues was the daughter of the late Thomas and Arminda (Leal) Silveira. Mrs. Roderigues was born in Terceira Açores and has lived in this area since she came to the United Sates in 1920 with her parents and brother. She was a seamstress at Bonney Sportswear. She was a founder and honorary member of the Mount Carmel Seniors Association. A talented seamstress who also loved to crochet and read.

Mary was a kind and loving heart; she will be missed immensely but always remembered.

Mrs. Roderigues’ Funeral will be Wednesday at 9 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St., with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday morning prior to attending Mass.
