Manuel Faria

New Bedford-Manuel Faria age 68 years died December 28th at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Fatima (Aguiar) Faria of New Bedford. Manuel was the father of Daniel Faria of Florida and Lorraine Maria Faria of New Bedford. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by several siblings.

Mr. Faria was the son of the late Irmelinda (Leite) and Manuel Faria. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of his life. He was empolyeed as a cook and Steward on an oil tanker. Manny was a member of the Seafarers Union.

Mr. Faria Funeral will be Saturday at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 P.M.
