Carlos M. Figueroa

New Bedford – Carlos M. Figueroa, age 86, died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at home surrounded by his family. He was the loved husband of Rosalie (Mauro) Figueroa. Mr. Figueroa was the father of Isac Matos of Hudson, MA, Moises Matos of PA, Georgina Mascis of Haverhill, MA, Maria Matos, Paul Mauro, Rose M. Rodriguez, Carlos M. Figueroa Jr., Martha Nieves, Joel Figueroa and Eva Vasquez of all of New Bedford, Pablo Figueroa of Florida and David Figueroa of Puerto Rico and the brother of Pura Bauzo of New Bedford. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Carlos M. Figueroa was the son of the late Serafino Figueroa and Maria Matos of Puerto Rico. He was born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico and has lived in this area since 1959.

Mr. Figueroa’s funeral will be Wednesday at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Wednesday at 9 A.M. Services will begin at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery #2. Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening from 5 to 9 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
