Dolores E. (Demello) Brune

New Bedford – Dolores E. (DeMello) Brune, age 73, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital on Saturday, December 12, 2009 surrounded by her family. Dolores was the beloved wife of Joseph S. Brune and mother of Deborah Resendes Hughes wife of David of New Bedford, Joey E. Brune of Dartmouth, Gary J. Brune husband of Terri of Lakeville, Cathy Tallman wife of Randy of Maine, Sharon A. Brune of New Bedford, Terri A. Silveira of New Bedford and mother-in-law of Terri Lemaire of Florida. She is also survived by her special companion : her dog "Nellie", 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her brother Richard "Bucky" DeMello husband of Toby of New Bedford as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Brune was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Palmyra (Avellar) DeMello. Mrs. Brune worked for the New Bedford School Department until her retirement.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visiting Hours on Tuesday Evening at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. from 6 – 8 P.M. In accordance with her wishes she was cremated. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Heart Assoc. 20 Speen St., Framingham , Ma 01701-4688
