Natalia M."Inez" Borges

New Bedford-Natalia “Inez” M. Borges age 92 years, died Sunday at Sacred Heart Home peacefully with loved one present. She was the widow of Jose Moniz Couto. Natalia was the loved mother of Manuel Borges Moniz also known as do Couto, Maria Natalia Moniz Borges, Jose Luis Couto and Gil Couto all of New Bedford. She was the sister of Zacarias Borges of CA., Maria Conceicao Ferreira of New Bedford and the late Maria dos Anjos Borges, Manuel, Jose, Joao, Gil and Luis Borges. She is also survived by 16 Grandchildren and 21 Great-grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Jose and Maria Ascencao (Amaral) Borges. She was born in Furnas, Sao Miguel Açores and lived in this area for the last 16 years.

Mrs. Borges’s funeral will be from Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Wednesday at 8 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John the Baptist Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 6-9 P.M.
