André "Andy" Roland Gaudette

Dartmouth-Andre ”Andy” Roland Gaudette age 64 years died Monday at the Tremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wareham after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor Lavault Gaudette of Dartmouth. He was the stepfather of Deborah Richard of New Bedford and Denise Vinceirelli of Boston. Andy was the brother of Jacqueline “Jackie” Ponte of East Freetown and Lorraine Dupery of Acushnet. He is also survived by 4 nephews, several cousins and many friends.

Mr. Gaudette was the son of the late Eudore Wilfred and Irene C. (Ferdette) Gaudette. He was born in Acushnet and lived in this area all his life. Andy was a kind and loving man and he was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by those he touched. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of Star in the East Paskamansett Masonic Lodge, Shiner Aleppo, Vietnam Vets Group, Disabled American Veterans Chapter #7, American Legion of Fairhaven and the AMVETS. Andy was a friend of Bill W. for 29 years.

At Andy’s request his Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at St. Julie Billiart Church, in Dartmouth, MA. at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery at 12:30 P.M. At Andy’s request for no visiting hours, relatives and friends are invited to meet at St. Julie’s.
