Isabelle (Furtado) Costa

New Bedford-Isabelle (Furtado) Costa age 91 years died Tuesday October 13, 2009 at Taber Street Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Isabelle was the beloved wife of the late John J. Costa Sr. Loved Mother of Gordon G. Costa and his wife Helen and John James Costa Jr. and his wife Rose both of New Bedford. She was also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Costa was the daughter of the late Isabelle (Soares) and John Furtado. She was born in New Bedford, and she lived in this area all of her life.

Mrs. Costa’s Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home Friday at 7:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church Padanaram, at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5-8 P.M.
