Anthony B. "Red" Williams

Boston-Anthony B. “Red” Williams age 72 died Friday October 9, 2009 at Brigham Women’s Hospital, after a brief illness. Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Haskins) Williams. Mr. Williams was the son of the late Ella (Tripp) and Joseph D. Williams. Anthony was born in New Bedford, and lived in this area all of his life. Red was the father of Anthony M. Williams and his wife Joan of New Bedford, and grandfather of Steven, Kara, and Scott Williams. Anthony was the brother Robert Williams and Theresa Pye both of Fairhaven, he was also pre-deceased by several siblings.. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

He was employed as a custodian for the City of New Bedford School Dept. until his retirement.

In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated. A Private memorial will be held at a later date.
