Manuel Paiva

New Bedford - Manuel S. Paiva, died Monday, October 5, 2009 at St Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Elaine Mae (Francis) Paiva formerly of So. Dartmouth. Mr. Paiva was the father of Jeffrey Paiva of Plymouth, MA. and Nancy Aiello of Fairhaven, MA. Mr. Paiva was the grandgather of Katherine A. Paiva of Plymouth, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Paiva was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of his life. He was the son of the late Manuel S. and Antonia deJesus (Santos) Paiva. Mr. Paiva worked as a barber and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Mr. Paiva’s funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Acushnet Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Please plan to meet at the cemetery at least 15 minutes prior to the service, Thanks in Advance.
