Pedro A.K.A. “Pellin” Mercado

New Bedford – Pedro A.K.A. “Pellin” Mercado, age 69, Sunday August 23, 2009 at St. Lukes Hospital. Mr. Mercado was the Father of Rosa and Elizabeth Mercado both of New Jersey, Kelly Gonzalez, Lynda Mercado of New Bedford, Pedro Mercado Jr. of New Jersey, Scotty Gonzalez and Kevin Chartier of New Bedford. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Mercado was the son of the late Rosa Mercado. He was born in Puerto Rico and lived most his life in this area. Mr. Mercado was employed as a Laborer.

Mr. Mercado’s funeral will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Friday at 10 A.M. with services beginning at 10:30 A.M. Visitation will be on from 5 to 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery.
