Ronald Rodil Medeiros

Dartmouth - Ronald Rodil Medeiros, age 78, of No. Dartmouth and Ft. Lauderdale , Fla. passed away at home August 14, 2009, after a declining illness He is survived by his wife Helen (Oliveira) Medeiros of No. Dartmouth, a daughter Jandira Medeiros formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, a sister Carmen Allain of So. Dartmouth and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Medeiros was the son of the late Carlos and Mary (Rodil) Medeiros. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Medeiros was formerly employed by Chamberlain Mfg. as a General Master Electrician until his retirement at age 58. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He also served in the Air Force Reserve

Mr. Medeiros was a communicant and member of the Knights of Columbus of St. Julie Billiart Church, 494 Slocum Rd., No. Dartmouth, MA

Mr. Medeiros’s Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Tuesday at 8:30 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 9:45 A.M. Burial will follow at Mass National Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
