Kevin J. Pires

New Bedford – Kevin J. Pires, age 25, died Saturday August 8, 2009 unexpectedly. He is survived by his Parent of New Bedford, his son Colin R. Pires of Acushnet, his companion Julia Smith of Acushnet, a sister Nicole Gomes of New Bedford , a brother Brian Neves of New Bedford, paternal grandmother Deolinda Pires of Acushnet, Ma. He was the grandson of the late Joao Pires.

Mr. Pires was the son of Donna (Stephenson) and Joseph M. Pires of New Bedford. He was born in New Bedford, Ma and lived in this area all his life. Mr. Pires was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Acushnet. He was a self employed Plasterer. Mr. Pires enjoyed spending time with his Aunts, Uncles, cousins, niece and nephews.

Mr. Pires Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Thursday with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Francis Xavier at 10 A.M. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited. In Lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Citizens Bank any Branch in care of his son Colin.
