Maria D. Ferreira

Fairhaven- Maria D. Ferreira age 97 years died peacefully Wednesday July 29 at Our Lady’s Haven . She was the wife of the late Mariano Amaral Morgado, Mother of Maria Celina and the late Jose A. Ferreira of New Bedford, Maria Luisa and Silvestre S. Medeiros of Acushnet and Daniel and Zenaida Amaral of Montreal, Canada, Grandmother of 8 and Greatgrandmother of 16. She was a sister of the late Esmeria Ferreira and Antonio Ferreira and aunt of 4 Nieces.

Mrs. Ferreira was a daughter of the late Mariano and Maria DeJesus (Afonso) Ferreira. She was born in Povocao, St. Michael, Azores and lived in this area since 1977.

Mrs. Ferreira’s Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Saturday at 8 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
