Conceicao "Connie" Cordeira

New Bedford- Conceicao “Connie” Cordeira age 89 years died peacefully Sunday July 27th at the New Bedford Jewish Convalencent Home. She was the wife of the late Joseph Cordeira, and her first husband Joao Tavares Leitao. Connie was the sister of Jose Carreiro of Fall River, Evaristo Carreiro of New Bedford, Maria de Lourdes Tavares of South Dartmouth, and the late Joao Carreiro and Manuel Costa Carreiro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cordeira was the daughter of the late Joao and Maria daLuz (Costa) Carreiro. She was born in Agua de Pau, Portugal and has lived here for 48 years.

Mrs. Cordeira Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Thursday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
