Artur Dorego

New Bedford – Artur DoRego age 92, died at Brandon Woods of New Bedford on July 9, 2009. Mr. DoRego was the husband of the late Maria (Pereira) Do Rego. Artur was the father of Agostinho DoRego of New Bedford and the grandfather of Mark and Stephen DoRego. Also he is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Do Rego was a son of the late Palmira (Borges) and Agostinho DoRego. He was born in Teceira, Azores, Portugal and lived in this area for 42 yrs. Artur was employed as a sorter at Mar-Lil Industries until his retirement.

Mr. DoRego’s funeral is at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Visitation will be on Friday at 12 noon with services beginning at 12:30 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
