Adelaide Sa Medeiros

New Bedford- Adelaide Sa Medeiros age 94 died Tuesday June 30, 2009 at home after a brief illness. Mrs Medeiros was the wife of the late Jacinto Medeiros. Mother of Emanuel Medeiros of Fall River, Fernando Medeiros and Adelaide Pacheco both of Kitchener, Canada, Adelino Medeiros of St. Michael, Azores, Carmen Umbelina and Gabriela Medeiros both of New Bedford, and Carlos Medeiros of South Dartmouth. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Mrs Medeiros was also the mother of the late Carmen and Antonio Medeiros.

Mrs Medeiros was the daughter of the late Silvana (Perpetua) and Antonio Hilario Sa. She was born in St. Michael, Azores until moving to New Bedford 10 Yrs ago.

Mrs. Medeiros’ funeral is From the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Friday July 3rd at 10:15 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at St. Julie Billiart Church, in Dartmouth, MA. at 11:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery . Visiting Hours will be Thursday from 5-8 P.M.
