Mary George

Dartmouth – Mary George died Monday, June 15, 2009 at St. Lukes Hospital after a brief illness. Survivors include her brother John George of Dartmouth, her nephews John and Richard George and niece Susanne Abreu, her great nieces Tara and Katie and great nephews Tony Jr. and Kevin. Mrs George was also the sister of the late Joseph George and Helen Mello, and aunt of the late Antone.

Mrs. George was the daughter of the late Patronilla (Santos) and Antone George. She was born in New Bedford and moved to Dartmouth when she was 10 and lived their all her life. Mrs George worked as a Stitcher for several clothing manufacturers.

Mrs Georges’ Funeral Mass will be Thursday at St. Mary’s Church South Dartmouth, at 10 A.M. Her Visiting hours will be prior to Church from 8:00 – 9:30 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
