Wilfred N. "Bud" Potter

New Bedford - Wilfred N. “Bud” Potter, age 89 years, died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Oaks. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Clark) Potter who died March 27, 1999. Mr. Potter was the father of Bruce A. Potter and the grandfather of Ashley L. Potter both of New Bedford and the brother of the late Dorothy Moore, Edna Bergeron, Gertrude Goguen, Helen Lambert and Mildred Morse. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Potter was a son of the late Ida (Belle) and Alfred A. Potter. He was born in Acushnet and lived in this area all of his life. Wilfred was the prior Proprietor of Potter Washinette on Kempton St. in New Bedford.

Mr. Potter’s funeral will be held Tuesday at The Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 12 P.M. with Services beginning at 1 P.M. Burial will follow at Acushnet Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
